 • Stephen A. Smith: Don't overlook Luukko's liability for 76ers
The amazing thing about the 76ers these days is not that they are pathetic embarrassing and downright laughable. It's that as the losses mount while faith in them plummets by the second the players don't appear to have a problem with the situation at all. >> read more or comment

 • John Smallwood: If plan is to fire Jordan at season's end Sixers should just do it now

 • Eagles Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

The Eagles decided to pay the $1.5 million roster bonus to quarterback Mike Vick on Monday as he was not traded or released by the 4 p.m. EST deadline.

Vick believes he can be a starting quarterback again after not having been one since 2006. Obviously the question is whether other NFL teams believe he can and whether he is worth the financial draft-pick and time investment a team would need to make that decision.

The financial part goes beyond the $3.75 million base salary in Vick's contract for 2010. Once that roster bonus is paid $1 million of his salary becomes guaranteed.

In addition there are $2.75 million in incentives that become very reachable if Vick is a team's starting quarterback. Wed 10 Mar 2010 12:00:41 PST nfl urn:newsml:sports.yahoosportsxchange:20080101:nflarticleteamreports-2010-nfl-phi:1 >> read more or comment

NHL - Philadelphia Flyers News:

 • Flyers Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

Six week ago Flyers defenseman Lukas Krajicek was a man without a future.

Frustrated by a demotion to the AHL Norfolk Admirals and angered by the Tampa Bay Lightning's lack of communication he voluntarily walked away from hockey. After playing 15 games for the Admirals he left the team while it was in Hartford.

In hindsight it was a risk worth taking.

"I thought I'd play a lot (in Tampa) and they didn't play me right from the start" Krajicek said. "Once I started playing again they threw me on waivers out of nowhere. The GM (Brian Lawton) told me he wasn't going to send me down and two days later he sent me down. They didn't let me or my agent know."

A former first-round pick of the Florida Panthers (24th overall in 2001) Krajicek recognized that his $1.475... Thu 11 Mar 2010 00:57:51 PST nhl urn:newsml:sports.yahoosportsxchange:20080101:nhlarticleteamreports-2010-nhl-phi:1 >> read more or comment

Philadelphia Flyers' Darroll Powe(notes) keeps New York Islanders' Bruno Gervais(notes) away from the puck in the third period of an NHL hockey game Tuesday March 9 2010 in Philadelphia. Philadelphia won 3-2.

Simon Gagne fired a pass toward Mike Richards but New York Islanders defensemen Mark Streit's stick got in the way.
