Located at 258 S 15 St in Center City, Buca Di Beppo is a solid authentic Italian restaurant. This would be my top choice if you have a big family to feed or just a handful of hungry friends who want to celebrate the joys of life with you. If you know and have a penchant for Fellini's vision of Italian life, you'll feel right at home with the decor.

Everything on the menu is served family style with portions that would satisfy at least a table of 5. (think in terms of courses for the whole table when you order) The dishes here hold no surprises, just your plain old fried calamari, spaghetti with various meats/seafood in the standard sauces, Italian style Pizza (meaning not too cheesy), and a few other side dishes like green bean, and mesh potato (or my boss calls it mesh garlic).

But don't let the seemingly mundane menu fool you. Over the years that I have visited the chain in different locations, I have not had one complain about ANY of their food. My companions and I always leave with a full stomach, a big smile on our faces, and a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
